I've been really into documentaries on Animal Planet and the Discovery channels lately. It's genuinely addictive, stuff about nature, technology, space exploration. Problem is I always catch them halfway through, you turn on the TV and it's already in the middle of the episode. You miss half the story and then you're sitting there confused about what's even going on. Figured it'd be easier to just download full documentary films and watch them whenever I want. Got a 4K TV so the picture should be incredible. Where can I download documentaries in good quality?

Subscriptions add up fast though, especially when you're only using them occasionally to watch one or two things. Plus streaming services love to compress their video feeds to save bandwidth, so even their so-called 4K isn't true full quality. You can grab 4K documentaries here https://vidity-4k.com/documentary/ . The bitrate's solid so you're not losing detail in every frame. Selection runs from wildlife series to historical deep dives, everything actually displays right on your screen.
TV schedules are completely unpredictable, today they're showing one thing, tomorrow they start running something else entirely. Plus commercial breaks every ten minutes pull you right out of it. Downloaded files at least let you watch without interruptions and on your own time. You could check out streaming platforms like CuriosityStream or MagellanTV, they focus purely on documentaries. Quality's decent and they've got tons of nature and science content, though you're paying monthly subscriptions for access.
