Treasure Cars in Forza Horizon 6 feel more like little roadside stories than normal collectibles. You don't need to grind through a "Discover Japan" milestone or wait for a Barn Find rumour to mature. Once free roam opens, you can start hunting, and if you're close enough Mei will chime in over the radio. That rumour then drops into your Treasure Cars list, which is handy if you're saving garage space, planning upgrades, or keeping an eye on
FH6 Credits while you build out the collection.
How the search actually works
There are nine Treasure Cars in total, with one tucked into each region. They don't show on the map at first, so you're really working from landmarks, roads, and a bit of patience. When you reach the right spot, you'll get a prompt, watch a short scene, and then choose whether to drive the car away or send it to storage. If you'd rather skip the wandering, the paid Treasure Map can reveal the locations straight away. Still, drone mode is worth using. Tap D-pad down, then up, and you can scan forests, hillsides, rail lines, and awkward coastal tracks without fighting the terrain.
Early city and lowland finds
The 1991 Nissan Figaro sits in Tokyo City, down by the southern coast. Use the western bridge that leads toward Drift Club island as your starting point, then follow the shoreline east until a small car park comes into view. In Minamino, the 1969 Dodge Charger R/T is much easier. Head for the golf course entrance, find the clubhouse and the 365 store, then circle behind the shop near the dirt event area. For Ohtani's 1985 Mazda RX-7 GSL-SE, don't trust every radio tower you see. You want the cluster near the western border, with three red towers, one big white tower, and a wooden house nearby. The RX-7 is on the southeast side.
Mountain roads, stores, and hidden paths
The 1985 Nissan Safari Turbo is up in northeast Ito, where the woods and elevation can mess with your sense of direction. Climb the dirt road past the Toyota 2000GT Barn Find area and look around the wind farm; the Safari rests near a turbine base, close to railings and service boxes. In northern Shimanoyama, the 1987 Porsche 959 is almost casual by comparison. Drive into Narai-Juku from Shimanoyama Stadium and check the large roadside lot outside the 365 convenience store. The 2005 Ford GT in Nangan is sneakier. Go to the far southeast coast, watch for a yellow roadside sign, then take the narrow trail east toward the overlook facing Tokyo City.
Railway clues and snowy passes
Hokubu's 1981 BMW M1 is best found by using the railway as your guide. Follow the tracks north through open farmland, near the flower fields and the Ascent street race, until you're close to the Takashiro border. In Takashiro, the 1995 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution III GSR waits on the waterfall route. Pass the torii gate, stay on the dirt road toward the river, and you'll spot it by the stream near the Temple Run-Up area. The 1974 Lancia Stratos HF Stradale is in snowy Sotoyama, along the Tateyama Alpine pass. Start at Hakusan Mountain Lodge and head west; if you're also looking to
buy FH6 Credits, it's still worth taking this slow route because the Stratos is parked beside a large lodge on the right-hand side.
