It was a brave decision to say that these two contenders wouldn't reach the playoffs and it shouldn't come as an issue that it didn't occur. The Packers were, in their debut season under the their new coach, Matt LaFleur were able to win their division with a score of 13-3 (Mut 25 coins was expecting them to finish with a pathetic 6-9-1) and managed to get a bye in the first round for the playoffs. However, things didn't go so well however for the Rams. In an NFC West suddenly turning into the most successful league in the game, McVay's team went on to record an indifferent 9-7 (Madden record 8-8) record, which left them looking outside into the future, just as the legendary prophet Madden predicted.
This is as accurate while not being as accurate as possible. For this AFC aspect of the game it's true that the Ravens actually ended the season with the top overall record in the league however, the record was 13-3 instead of 12-4. In the NFC side, things are slightly more complex. Although the Saints had 13-3 but they were the only team in a 3 way tie for top spot in the league, and had to play an extra wild Card game, which they'd inevitably be unable to win against the Vikings. Technically speaking, teams Saints as well as the Ravens had the top performances in their respective conferences over the course of this season, which is why I'm able to say that this prediction came very close to winning.
From a distance, this prediction appears to be a complete success but when you look deeper into the details and discover that both teams the Madden simulation predicted to be emerging from the AFC South were the Titans (yes!) as well as The Jaguars (no!). I'm going to be awed by knowing how the AFC South would be a formidable division this season however I can't give the an exemplary score because Madden clearly didn't give Texans sufficient credit. The simulation also predicted the idea that Nick Foles would have a excellent season, taking the Jags to playoffs.
If you think about the fact that not many people believed in the Titans having the sort of run that would result in only one game out of their Super Bowl, Madden's suggestion that they could be victorious actually seems quite impressive. The simulation did, however, believe that the Titans' success would be fueled by the efforts by Marcus Mariota under center rather than Ryan Tannehill, but that's something which would have been difficult to even Nostradamus to have predicted. Instead, we should look at cheap Mut 25 coins plan included a playoff victory against Ravens Ravens (albeit as a conference semifinal, not the divisional round) and completely ignore the way in which it believed that it would be the Titans' Super Bowl win was going to be against their NFC Champion Panthers.
