Team Map Farming Was Wild—High Divine Drop Rates!

If you’ve never tried team map farming in Path of Exile 2, you’re seriously missing out. Last weekend, our team of four players dove into a high-tier mapping session, and the results were nothing short of insane—we hit some of the highest Divine Orb drop rates we’ve ever seen. For anyone trying to stack up on PoE 2 currency, this is one of the most effective and fun strategies right now.

Here’s exactly how we did it and how you can copy the setup for your own farming group.

1. Team Composition and Setup
We ran a classic 4-player team setup:

  • One dedicated Magic Finder (MF) with max Quantity and Rarity gear.
  • Two speed clearers with high DPS AoE builds (one Elemental, one Physical).
  • One support character using Auras, Curses, and item quantity gear.

Make sure the MF player has gear focused on increasing item quantity, like high-quality Goldwyrm boots, Bisco’s Collar, and Ventor’s Gamble rings. The support character should be using Auras like Wrath, Anger, or Discipline, depending on what the carries need.

2. Best Maps for Currency Drops
Our top-performing maps for Divine Orbs and other PoE 2 currency included:

  • Cemetery (T15): Great density and div card potential (especially for "The Saint’s Treasure").
  • Strand (T14): Easy layout for fast clearing and stacking pack size.
  • Crimson Temple (T16): Known for high-end divination cards like “The Apothecary” (big money).

Use Sextants and Chisels to juice the maps. Make sure you're rolling them with Chaos Orbs until you get at least 80% pack size or better. Alch and Vaal are fine if you’re on a budget.

3. Atlas Passive Tree Setup
We focused our Atlas Tree on:

  • Shrines (increased pack size, speed).
  • Strongboxes (chance to drop currency).
  • Delirium (insane monster density and PoE 2 currency potential).
  • Skipping boss nodes to focus on clearing density and mob count.

We ran a ton of Scarabs, especially:

  • Cartography Scarabs (to sustain maps).
  • Currency Scarabs (to increase the odds of Divine Orb drops).
  • Ambush Scarabs (for Strongboxes, which often yield Chaos Orbs, Orbs of Alchemy, and even Exalted Orbs).

4. Loot Strategy and Splitting
Everything was shared equally. We set loot to permanent allocation and used a simple rotation system: whoever gets a Divine Orb, logs it in our shared spreadsheet. At the end of the session, we split value equally. You can convert excess PoE 2 currency to what you need by trading or heading over to platforms like u4gm—they’re fast and reliable if you need to buy PoE 2 currency safely and quickly.

5. Key Results
In 3 hours, we pulled:

  • 14 Divine Orbs
  • 67 Chaos Orbs
  • 9 Exalted Orbs
  • Countless Orbs of Alchemy and Scouring

The strategy works because team mapping massively increases monster density, which means more loot and better odds of high-value drops. Pair that with smart use of Scarabs and a strong Atlas Tree, and the returns are incredible.

Always bring a loot filter that highlights Divine Orbs, 6-links, and high-tier base items. The last thing you want is to miss a Divine in a pile of trash loot.

So if you're grinding solo and hitting a wall, get a few friends together, coordinate your builds, and start farming maps as a team. It’s the most fun and profitable way to farm PoE 2 currency right now—and who knows, you might walk away rich.
