Looking to refresh my Jetta with some modern matte black Volkswagen decals. For those who have them, do these stickers handle intense summer heat and UV rays well without peeling or fading fast?

It absolutely is! It saves you from replacing them every year. Just make sure the surface is completely wax-free before applying, and they'll keep that deep matte look for a long time.
