What’s a good editor for a few photos?

I’ve got a handful of photos from a small product shoot that need cleaning up before I send them to a client. A couple are too dark, one has an ugly reflection in the background, and a few need cropping and some minor retouching. I don’t do this often enough to justify installing a big editing package, so I’d rather use something quick that still gives me proper tools. What would you use for a job like this?

For a few pictures, I wouldn’t turn it into a whole project with software installs and a dozen plugins. You just need something that lets you fix the obvious stuff, save the files, and move on with your day. Pixlr is worth checking out for that. It runs in the browser and gives you layers, selections, retouching, color adjustments, and enough control to clean up product shots properly.
