United Nations Security Council members are holding a briefing on the 'maintenance of peace and security of Ukraine' on Thursday, a move that comes amid reports that the U.S. and Russia have drawn up a proposed peace plan said to include major concessions from Ukraine.

United Nations Security Council members are holding a briefing about a proposal drafted by the U.S. and Russia to end the war in Ukraine.The plan would require Kyiv to give up parts of eastern Ukraine and partially disarm, U.S. media outlets and Reuters are reporting.Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says he will talk with U.S. President Donald Trump in the coming days about the plan. Most European countries are cool to any plan that doesn't involve them and Kyiv.Zelenskyy’s administration is in the midst of a major corruption scandal involving its nuclear agency.
